BASIC AID! NOVEMBER 20 - 22 2009

The Refuge and Y.B. Human Adventures are hosting the Third Annual Basic Aid Event.

This year's proceeds will be divided once again between the Basic Human Needs Project in India and support for an Aboriginal Community here in Taiwan to be announced.

Funds will also be set aside for Disaster Relief Efforts such as the devastating Typhoon Morakot that rampaged through Taiwan last August.

Basic Aid became a relief effort hub in Taichung and collected donations of all types and sent them to all the hard hit areas of Taiwan.

Basic Aid is also about the FUN!

Come see, hear and support your local musicians and artists from around this wonderful Island Nation of ours and help raise money to help not only Taiwanese that need Aid, but also former Taiwan Expats Jess M. and Dan S. These two wonderful people and friends gave up the good life in Taiwan to open the Basic Human Needs program in Varanassi, India. The Basic Human Needs Project has been giving hope to underprivileged children through their school and orphanage. It's a great cause.

What is Basic Aid?

Basic Aid is a two day charity concert being held on November 20 -22 at the beautiful natural venue Tiger Head Mountain in Puli, Taiwan. This venue is very easy to get to and we will have maps up soon.

A little more on the event itself:

There is camping and the venue has all the modern facilities; toilets/showers ETC. Admission will be 500NT with everything after expenses going towards said charities. People can pitch a tent, stay overnight and enjoy the Music, Art & Good People for two days.

The live music will start mid-afternoon on Saturday and go until midnight (with DJs till the cows come home). Sunday will have music from about noon till five.

Some of your favorite Vendors will be there selling Food and we will have menus up soon.

Reasonably Priced Beverages will be Sold by the Venue's Fly-By Bar & The BasicBar!

We are looking for SPONSORS!

Sponsors will get their name and their good deed on the flyers AND other promotional favors. So any small or large business near you, or a company you work for, a local bar you frequent... anything will help.


We are also looking for things to auction off at the Fest, so anything you or a sponsor have to donate will be great. Art, CDs, a scooter, anything cool or unique... it's all for a good cause!

We have 3 artists and are looking for more to display.

We have 6 more slots for BANDS!
